Inspired by the practical effects-ladened action-bonanzas of yesteryear, I have a natural inclination to look for things that feel visceral and tangible.
The original conduit of inspiration? Mylar magnetic tape coated with metal oxide, being beamed through a cathode ray tube that’s housed in a wooden box. The current conduit? A cloud.
Only the format has changed.
This is my reel of work for 2024. For everything seen I was either the Director and Director of Photography, or an Operator. Regardless of role, I was always hands-on camera, or in the instance of the drone shots, the controller.
A spec-piece featuring the Leatherman FREE P4. This was shot as a dual light setup, on a mirror, with an in-camera laser effect.
A spec-piece featuring the Casio G-SHOCK DW-D5500BB-1. This was shot as a dual light setup, on a glass table, with the watch suspension done via a rubber band, I believe.
This is my reel of work for 2020. I either framed the shots myself, or they were framed under my direction. I also composed the music, which was taken from my 2017 short film titled Mr. Teamwork.
